LAB Project stands for Linux Advanced Business Tools. This project tries to fulfill the following goals:
- Provide a Trully Abstract View of Enterprise data
- Create a fully reusable set of Fundation Classes
- Create a set of Business Logic Libraries
- Create a set of Fully reusable and configurable widgets based on Fundation Classes and Business Logic Libraries The whole system could be thought as a kind of Integrated Toolkit for Business Applications Development
- LAB Project Licensing tells you what you have to know about LAB Project licensing scheme.
- Glossary provides a small glossary about the common terminology used throughout the project. This is important to be sure every participants talks the same language.
- LAB Project Overview show an overview of the project and presents the philosophy behind the scene. Some elements of this can sound strange, thus you might have to refer often to this section
- How does this work? presents a fast introduction to some of the internals.
- Standard Abstract Data Types describes the Abstract Data Types presented by the Data Abstraction Layer.
- The Data Association Model presents the Data Association Model and the Data Collection paradigm.

- The "zlib" Data Compression Library Copyright (C) 1995-1998 Jean-loup Gailly and Mark Adler is used in our compression routines
- libmcrypt Unified Block and Stream Encryption Copyright (C) 1999-2003 Nikos Mavroyanopoulos and libmhash Copyright (C) 1999-2003 Nikos Mavroyanopoulos and Sascha Schumann are used in most of our security features. Note: Some of the algorithms used in these libraries might be illegal in some countries. In such cases feel free to contact The Project Team <labproject@free.fr> and we'll provide light encrypted classes (or not encrypted at all for some countries).
